1st Tender of the Facility to Promote Renewables in Guinea-Bissau (EREF-GB)

The ECOWAS Renewable Energy Facility (EREF) has been in place since 2011 and provides funding for the entire ECOWAS region. EREF-GB was established in 2017 and is an exclusive funding window for Guinea-Bissau.

The Facility was created under the GEF Project "Promoting Investments in Small to Medium Scale Renewable Energy Technologies in the Electricity Sector of Guinea-Bissau".

This is a funding program managed by the ECREEE Secretariat, in coordination with the Ministry of Energy and Industry in Guinea-Bissau, which provides non-repayable grants up to a maximum amount of one hundred thousand US dollars (USD 100,000), through competitive tendering projects to promote renewable energy for generation of electricity with an installed capacity of not less than 100 kW in Guinea-Bissau. The program will select 4 to 5 projects to be supported at an early stage.

All applications must be submitted online until May 24, 2017, through EREF website http://erefgb.ecreee.org (The deadline was extended until 30 June 2017)
