ALER is the new Proud Partner of Sustainable Energy for All

ALER is pleased to announce its Proud Partnership with Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL). This collaboration intends to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Energy for All objectives and those of Sustainable Development Goal 7. Specifically, to promote and aid the achievement of universal access to energy for all and double the rate of renewables in the global energy mix.

SEforALL and ALER will collaborate through specifically tailored interventions in Portuguese-speaking countries, which some lie on the critical path as identified by the latest Global Tracking Framework report, to create enabling market mechanisms for developing renewable synergies within the private sector, support non-profit entities and cutting-edge business models, and set best practices and standards at a local, regional and international levels.

Among the major interventions identified for collaboration are the organization of events – the first being a side-event at the Sustainable Energy for All Forum 2018 in Lisbon about investment opportunities in Guinea-Bissau – the dissemination of knowledge products, namely the SEforALL publications or success stories, and ALER’s National Reports and Case Studies. The partnership will also include the development and promotion of SEforALL country actions in Portuguese-speaking countries which will be supported by SEforALL Regional and Thematic Hubs.

Sustainable Energy for All is a non-profit organization working with leaders in government, the private sector and civil society to drive further, faster action toward achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7, which calls for universal access to sustainable energy by 2030, and the Paris Climate Agreement, which calls for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to limit climate warming to below 2 degrees Celsius.

As a global platform, Sustainable Energy for All empowers leaders to broker partnerships and unlock finance to achieve universal access to sustainable energy.
