The construction of seven photovoltaic power stations in Angola is completed

Angola recently completed the construction of seven photovoltaic power stations, which will add a further 370MW to the public electricity grid and could benefit at least 500,000 inhabitants in rural areas.

An installed capacity of 9.6GW is expected by 2027, with the completion of the Caculo Cabaça Hydroelectric Dam. The infrastructure is under construction in the province of Kwanza-Norte and will generate an additional 2.17GW. An additional 500MW of solar capacity is also expected with the completion of the photovoltaic parks in Catete and Malanje.
