Opportunities for the Mozambican renewables private sector

May is full of events for the renewable energy private sector in Mozambique.

Trade Mission to Norway and Finland

From May 6 to10, the Confederation of Business Associations of Mozambique (CTA) will organise a Trade Mission to visit Norway and Finland. From 6 to 8, it will be in Norway and from 8 to10 in Finland. The Missions aims to establish partnerships between Mozambican entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurs of the above mentioned countries to explore business and investment opportunities, focused on the following sectors: Extractive Industry, Energy, Fisheries, Forests, Agro-Industry, Transport and Logistics, Financial Sector and Infrastructure. These days include business forums, tours to companies, roundtables, B2B meetings and product and service exhibitions.

information session about a fund for renewable energy businesses

Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund will organize on May 9, an information session about the launch of a fund for businesses working in the renewable energy sector in Mozambique , with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

Workshop about investment in small scale clean and renewable energy systems

The Forum for Energies and Sustainable Development of Mozambique (FEDESMO) through Livaningo, Kulima and Adel-Sofala, will organize a reflection workshop about investment in small scale clean and renewable energy systems. It will take place at VIP Hotel, in Maputo on May 10 from 8am to 16pm. The objective is to reflect on the opportunities and challenges of the investment in small scale clean and renewable energy systems, and to share experiences between the different stakeholders on the policies, strategies and/or plans for the reduction of import taxes for energy equipment’s to the country.
