Renewable Energy Trade Mission to Ceará (Brazil)

The Brazil–Portugal Chamber in Ceará (CBP-CE), the Economic Development Agency (ADECE) and the Federation of Industries of the State of Ceará (FIEC), will hold a trade mission to the state focused on the renewable energy sector between November 29 and December 1 this year.

Brazil is currently one of the world's largest markets for centralized solar and wind generation and with the greatest potential for small-scale distributed generation projects, especially photovoltaics. However, this is still a young sector where there are several gaps along the value chain to which are added the wide dispersion of projects by small promoters.

The new political stability and economic recovery already anticipated makes this a particularly opportune time for seeking business and investment opportunities. The state of Ceará, due to its geographical proximity to Portugal, Pecém logistics hub port, and richness energy resources is a strategic gateway to Portuguese companies and entrepreneurs.

The trade mission will enable closer contact with government and sectoral authorities as well as the business sector which is already active in Ceará and Brazil.

The Brazil–Portugal Chamber in Ceará (CBP-CE) is one of ALER's partners and therefore we support the trade mission.
