ADENE & ALER Digital Dialogue on aef 2020

ALER and ADENE - Energy Agency organized the online session “Hosted Digital Dialogue on the Role of an Energy Network in Portuguese Speaking Countries” on November 13 , integrated in the program of the Africa Energy Forum 2020, the international reference event  that brings together decision makers and investors from the energy, infrastructure and industry sectors of Africa, and that this year takes place exclusively online.

 

The session focused on the importance of institutional cooperation between organizations responsible for the design and implementation of policies, programs and measures for the promotion of energy efficiency and renewable energies, as well as the role that cooperation networks play in these areas.

 

The debate was attended by:

  1. Rito Évora, Cape Verde's National Director of Industry, Commerce and Energy; 
  2. Martin Lugmayr, Program Coordinator “Global Network of Regional Sustainable Energy Centers”; 
  3. Elayo Hyacinth on behalf of ECREEE; 
  4. Manuel Lapão, Director of Cooperation and Executive Secretariat of CPLP (Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries)
  5. Nelson Lage, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ADENE. 


At the session, moderated by Isabel Cancela de Abreu, Executive Director of ALER, the relevance of creating a network of national energy focal points was discussed with the aim of promoting the exchange of information and experiences regarding energy efficiency and renewable energies. .
