ALER was a speaker in the ALSF webinar

Last October 21st, ALER participated in the webinar organised by the African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) under the theme: “The key ingredient of the negotiations: understanding the allocation of risks in energy projects”. This webinar is part of a series of 4 webinars related to natural resources, infrastructure, debt and energy and will be analysed from the perspective of the Portuguese speaking countries.

 

Pedro Amaral Jorge, Member of the Board of Directors of ALER, was a speaker at this seminar, together with Rita Madeira, ALSF legal consultant; Manuel Protásio, Executive Partner of the Group, Infrastructure, Energy and Natural Resources, Vieira de Almeida & Associados (VdA); and Carlos Yum, General Director of the Mphanda Nkuwa Hydroelectric Project Implementation Office.

 

The webinar, moderated by Adelino Amado Pereira, partner at OADL & Associados, debated the concept of “risk allocation”, a fundamental principle and a cornerstone in the negotiations of contracts in the energy sector.
