AMER and GET.invest Mozambique develop training dedicated to tariff calculation tool for mini-grid projects

AMER – Associação Moçambicana de Energias Renováveis, together with GET.transform and GET.invest Mozambique, developed, on July 25th and 28th, a training session dedicated to the tariff calculation tool for mini-grid projects. 

This calculation tool was developed by ARENE with the support of GET.transform and will, in the future, be used by ARENE as a tool to approve tariffs for new mini-grid projects and for tariff revisions.

In this context, the training action aimed to present this tool to the promoters and operators of mini-grids in the private sector, while at the same time providing an overview of the new tariff regulation for the mini-grid, which this tool belongs to.

Aware of the importance of the Publication of the regulation for energy access in off-grid areas in Mozambique , ALER and AMER, in partnership with ARENE and FUNAE and with the support of GET.invest Mozambique - funded by the European Union and Germany, and part of the European programme GET.invest -  organised a webinar that took place on February 24th  for the presentation and discussion of the impacts of this long-awaited document in particular in the mini-grid and solar home systems market segments. This webinar is available by accessing here.
