Call for proposals for 20 MW and two 1MW power plants in Guinea-Bissau

The Republic of Guinea-Bissau requested and obtained funds from the West African Development Bank (BOAD) to finance the construction of a 20 MW photovoltaic power plant near Bissau and two 1 MW mini-plants in Gabu and Cachungo.

 

The African Biofuel and Renewable Energy Company (SABER-ABREC) on behalf of the Government of Guinea-Bissau requests the submission of proposals by eligible candidates who meet the requirements for the following work:

 

Lot 1: Construction of a 20MW photovoltaic power station in Gardete about 8 km from Bissau and connection to the 30kV line of the Bor substation. Applicants should include a proposal with variants for energy storage. The work is expected to last 20 months;

 

Lot 2: construction of a 1 MW hybrid photovoltaic power plant with diesel generators to support its operation and energy storage through batteries. The project will take place in Canchungo with a planned duration of 14 months;

 

Lot 3: construction of a 1 MW hybrid photovoltaic power plant with diesel generators to support its operation and energy storage through batteries. The project will take place in Gabu with a planned duration of 14 months.
