International Conference on Solar Technologies and Hybrid Mini-Grids 2018

Organized by Trama Tecno Ambiental (TTA), in partnership with EnDev, GIZ, REPIC, the Siemens Foundation, SNV and WISE, the second International Conference on Solar Technologies and Hybrid Mini-Grids to improve access to energy, will be held at Universitat de les Illes Balears, in Palma, Spain, from 17 to 19 October 2018.

The main objective of the conference is to provide the interchange between practitioners from the industry, academia and development institutions working in the field of decentralized energy. The conference will cover technical, business and management aspects of solar technologies and mini grids with the aim of sharing experiences,  best practices  and networking.

The challenge of access to energy for all is enormous and can only be achieved through a combination of different technologies and existing and innovative approaches, applied according to the needs and economic potential of the people. In recent years, several organizations and companies have gained valuable experiences with the dissemination of solar lanterns, plug-and-play systems and home solar systems.

This event will provide a forum where experts from different disciplines can discuss how universal access to energy can be achieved efficiently.

The Conference will invite recognized experts to provide an overview of the status in different technological areas and allow participants to present their results of scientific research or fieldwork experience.
