MIREME is new member of ALER

The Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME) in Mozambique is the latest ALER’s member.

The energy sector in Mozambique is regulated and supervised by
MIREME. This Ministry, which resulted from the merger of the Ministry of Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Energy, is the Government's body responsible for planning the national energy strategy and policy, and for supervising the operation and development of the energy sector.

Since its creation, ALER has had FUNAE as its institutional member from Mozambique, but it was finally possible to receive MIREME as an Honorary Associate, after a period of several changes in the Ministries.

We welcome the formalization of ALER's collaboration with the Government of Mozambique and we will continue to collaborate to improve the regulatory environment for renewable energy in the country.
