Save the date 22-24 March – Investment Forum and IPP Seminar: Renewables in Mozambique 2021

From 22 to 23 of March, the Lusophone Renewable Energy Association (ALER) and the Mozambican Renewable Energy Association (AMER), in cooperation with GET.invest Mozambique - funded by the European Union and Germany, and part of the European programme GET.invest, will organize  the Europe-Mozambique Investment Forum: Renewables in Mozambique 2021.

The Forum will feature relevant players from the sector, who will provide an overview of the renewable energy sector in Mozambique. There will be presented the initiatives recently launched by the Mozambican Government and its cooperation partners, including investment opportunities through interactive virtual sessions.

During the event there will be two dynamics: the first one during the morning, will start with interactive high-level debates, based on a presentation of the Briefing Renewables in Mozambique 2021, which will be shared with the participants in advance of the event; and the second one, in the afternoon, through interactive matchmaking sessions.

On the 24 of March, the Forum will be followed by the Seminar Opportunities for IPP Projects: Renewables in Mozambique 2021, hosted with the support of GET.invest and in partnership with Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA), Mozambique Women in Energy (MWE) and SolarPower Europe.

The seminar is targeting promoters of renewable Independent Power Producers (IPP) projects in Mozambique and Mozambican companies that may be their partners or service providers. It aims to support all those interested in applying to renewable IPP tenders in Mozambique, helping to create strategic partnerships in the private sector.

In the morning, technical sessions will take place about available opportunities to local companies connected to IPP development and partners programmes in Mozambique.
