Government of Mozambique launches tender for two solar power plants

The Government of Mozambique launched a tender to select experienced and qualified investors to develop, finance, design, build, operate and maintain two solar photovoltaic power plants projects.

 

The two projects in competition are for the solar power plant in Manje, Province of Tete, and the other for Chimbunila, Province of Niassa. The two power plants will have a capacity of 30 MWac.

 

This tender was developed by the Government of Mozambique, through the Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE) and within the scope of the Renewable Energy Auctions Promotion Program (PROLER).

 

Applicants and further Prequalified Bidders, can apply for one specific Lot or for both Lots of the Project.

Proposals can be submitted until January 17 at 10:00 am (GMT+2).

 

 

Interested Applicants may obtain information and the complete set of Prequalification Documents, either physically at ARENE´s offices in the address indicated above, from Monday to Friday and during the normal working hours, or on the submission of an email to the e-mail account concurso-proler@arene.org.mz. The submission of the complete set of Prequalification Documents is subject to the payment of a non-refundable fee of 20,000,00 MT (twenty thousand Meticais) or the equivalent in USD.
